Our Exams

The teaching in this level includes:
Musical basic skills and basic knowledge, playful learning, curiosity, listening, singing, elementary rhythm, melodies, sounds, pedal experiences, simple harmonies, simple song accompaniment and score reading.

Repertoire List for Junior level:
The difference between original works and arrangements is vague, many composition of baroque and classic period are often arrangements of folk music at that time. Most of them are in many method books for piano, the repertoire list emphasize traditional folk and pop music from middle Europe as a culture experience, which does not mean to exclude other folk music from other countries. Arrangements of famous melodies should help the student to get connect with famous orchestral music. The method books for the junior level should have been working books. In these books, children should have the possibility of playing the music, fill in some notes, simple theory tasks, possibilities of drawing and creativity in music and sound experiences with child-orientated funny and pleasant design. Some method books are divided into three books for learning, playing and writing music.

JUNIOR LEVEL A:

The candidate should have learnt basic keyboard orientation, note and rhythmic reading and articulation. They should know how to accompany simple melodies in 5 tone scales with simple bass notes.

The performance should show different character of tempo and dynamic and different basic articulation. It should be also place for special sound experiences, smal improvisations and short own compositions.
2 Prepare technical Basic: Pentatonic scales and triad chords in C, G, F, D. Jury will choose one 5
3 Rythmic clapping. (4 bars) 5
4 Simple song accompaniment in Pentatonic (8 -12 bars) with simple bass notes 15

JUNIOR LEVEL B:

The candidate expands his keyboard orientation, note and rhythmic reading and articulation. In simple song accompaniment he knows how to use similar chords, and they do the first steps in improvisation by sound experiences and simple score reading.

The performance should show different character of tempo and dynamic and different basic articulation. It should be also place for special sound experiences, smal improvisations and short own compositions.
2 Prepare technical Basic: Major Key Scale and triad chords with inversion in C, G, F, D, A. 10
Jury will choose one, or small improvisation.
3 Rythmic clapping. (4 bars) 5
4 Simple song accompanimentin octave designation (8 - 12 bars) with simple triads. 10
Total points 100

Grading from the Jury: The jury will value the different parts of the examination according the written points. The jury will give remarks in this order: 100-90 points: very good with honor, 80-89 points: very good, 70-79 points: good, 60-69 points: satisfactory, 50-59 points: sufficiently, 0-49 points: failed.
