IMPRESSIONS FROM THE AME SUMMER CAMP "MUSIC, ART AND CULTURE"

Together with our dear friends from GD Music School Suzhou, China, we spent seven wonderful days in the region of our hometown Bad Goisern!

On Day 1 we welcomed our Chinese friends and went on a hiking tour including a delightful break at the hut and a refreshing bath in the nearby lake.

On Day 2 of our AME Summer Camp we combined music and related Arts in our scenic Region. With a visit to the place where Brahms composed it's world famous Lullaby, to a creative Painting Workshop at a regional Art studio as well as a first stroll through the beautiful town of Bad Ischl we spent a day full of learning and fun! In the evening we attended the "AME Long Night Concert" of AME Brass Masterclass. Big thanks to the 60 students playing through this great night of music!

Day 3 was filled with high quality music lessons and horsback riding at the scenic town of Obertraun!

Day 4 of our AME Music, Arts & Sport Summer Camp in Austria - after music lessons and with perfect weather conditions we enjoyed another sunny day in nature with riding lessons on the Island Ponys, some fun outdoor games, a music quiz with Ice Cream as a prize and time at the newly built obstacle course in Bad Goisern! In the evening we visited a nice concert held at our local church with also one of our AME students performing in!

On Day 5 we attended inspiring Art Lessons, played jolly outdoor games and enjoyed freshly grilled marshmallows at our fireplace.

On Day 6 of our AME Summer Camp we went up to the Dachstein Mountains with the cable car to do some creative and inspiring Land Art Project at the scenic Gjaidalm, as well as visiting the famous Ice Cave Obertraun where the students got the chance to try out the famous Schimmel glass piano inside the freezing surroundings.

On the last day of our AME Camp we held the Diploma Celebration and showed a small assortment of the students artworks at Bad Goiserns Town Hall. The Major of Bad Goisern Peter Ellmer presented the students with the AME Diploma and after a nice reception we had to say farwell!

We are now looking forward to see all of you in October in Suzhou, China at the Workshop "Mozart for Children" again!
