BRUCKNER ROOM
For Workshops and rehearsal for ensembles. One Kawai grand piano. One harpsichord "Neupert".

Anton Bruckner (1824 – 1896) was an Austrian composer known for his symphonies and masses. The first are considered emblematic of the final stage of Austro-German Romanticism because of their rich harmonic language, strongly polyphonic character, and considerable length. In addition, Bruckner's compositions helped define contemporary musical radicalism, owing to their dissonances, unprepared modulations, and roving harmonies.

Anton Bruckner spent his summer months in Bad Goisern for 20 years. He played the organ in the neighboring town of Bad Ischl at an annual festive ceremony for the Austrian Emperor Franz Josef.

PRESENTATION & PRODUCTION

CONCERT HALL
The concert hall with 170 seats is technically superbly equipped.

It offers a flexible stage for concerts and cultural events of all kinds as well as the theatre and ideal possibilities for rehearsals of orchestras and large ensembles. A Bösendorfer piano with a particularly beautiful sound offers excellent possibilities for artistic work.

SOUND STUDIO
Professional expertise, combined with functional, contemporary technology - a combination that determines the way we work in our Studio.

Also available is a mobile vocal and percussion cabin, which allows us to set up also special acoustic requirements. Whether marching band, classical orchestra, chamber music or bands of any Colour - we have the space for it. In the technical equipment of the director and recording room, we attach particular importance to the highest sonic standards and flexibility - a hybrid of modern digital technology and the finest analogue equipment together with us the best of both worlds. Microphones by Neumann, AKG and Microtec also belong to the basic equipment, such as compressors and EQ`s of Tube-Tech, dbx and Avalon. On instruments in addition to various drum kits and orchestral percussion are among others a Bösendorfer grand piano, a Steinway B, a harpsichord, various synthesizers, and a complete backline (z. B.VOX AC30, Ampeg SVT2 Pro, Fender Twin Reverb) for bands available.

OPEN-AIR THEATER
The 500-seat open-air arena is embedded in a wonderful landscape and offers perfect acoustics for particularly spirited concerts.

CELLAR

MAHLER ROOM
Fully equipped percussion room with all kind of percussion instruments both classical orchestras as pop music ensembles.

Gustag Mahler (1860-1911) was an Austrian Romantic composer of huge symphonies and songs and song-cycles. Mahler wrote music of great intensity and orchestral transparency and was a conductor of international stature in his day.

He spent some time composing in a 19th century Guesthouse on the shores of the near by Attersee Lake. During this time he visited our region in the year of 1893 and 1895.

ACCOMMODATION

We offer students the possibility to stay in our local private Youth Hostel, local Bed and Breakfast or 3-4 Star Hotels. We will do our best to manage your bookings up to your desires.

In the famous UNESCO-World Heritage town of Hallstatt there is a branch of our school with 3 classrooms and a big room for workshops and orchestra rehersal. There are 2 Kawai grand pianos.

We have there 3 classrooms, one larger room for ensemble rehersals and one concert hall with 150 seats. There is a Kawai grand piano.

Gosau is a much-loved alpine village and is famous for its famous lake. From here visitors can admire the most beautiful and most famous views of „King Dachstein“. The area is also well-known for its ancient woodland and lush mountain pastures, and attracts many nature lovers too.

Obertraun is an idyllic place at Lake Hallstatt at the foot of the famous Dachsteinberge with its mysterious ice cave. In this ice cave we offer classical concerts. Students can try the fantastic acoustics of this cave in this extraordinary place during our Summer camps.
