Our visit to the Suzhou Foreign Language School was a very special one. The school has impressed us with their thoughtful choices they made about their curriculum and their broad spectrum of possibilities to learn about culture and art. The pupils impressed with their language-abilities (they even welcomed us in fluent German and English!). Furthermore they beautifully recited a Heine poem in German, played traditional Chinese instruments and performed piano pieces. We had a lot of fun together when Dr. Peter Brugger made an impromptu mini-workshop with the piano-performing students by showing them how to improve the piano pieces even more and add greater depth to their performances.
We would also thank the principal Dong Bin for his outstanding hospitality, it was a true memorable visit. We would appreciate if we could add even more value to the high quality this school is delivering by setting up a tight intercultural relationship between China and Austria through the AME-curriculum and the AME Masterclasses in Austria!
